William “Gil” Buie IV

Gil is a native Memphian, who attended Christian Brothers High School. There, Gil played football, soccer, and lacrosse. He was also on the swim team, a part of Brothers on Stage, and a member of the choir. After CBHS, Gil attended the University of Tennessee where he originally studied philosophy. He was also originally part of the Airforce ROTC before switching his focus to law school. He still hopes to one day earn his pilot’s license.

Gil joined the firm as a law clerk in 2016.  Since then, he has graduated from University of Memphis School of Law and is now a Senior Attorney. Gil enjoys working with clients and is experienced in all aspects of client representation.

In his free time Gil enjoys fishing at Lake Hamilton and spending time with his family. He’s a big fan of the Tigers and the Grizzlies and also the Orioles. His favorite movie is Jaws, and if he could go anywhere in the world for free, he says it would be Spain. Gil’s favorite thing to do in Memphis is the annual Memphis in May Music Fest.

Gil Buie has been selected to Tennessee Rising Stars.
