Miles Mason, Sr. and Cindy MacAulay of Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP are collaborating on an ABA FLS webinar titled Get Credit Where Credit is Due: Transfer of Child Tax Credits Between Parents. This webinar will take place on July 16, 2019 (Noon – 1:30 PM CT) and provide tax advice related to the representation of clients with children in divorces.
Mason and MacAulay will explain the effects of the expansion of the Child Tax Credit, as well as the Dependent Care Credit. They will discuss the subtleties of the new tax laws and how attorneys can use them in regard to negotiations, drafting settlements, and mediation. Mason and MacAulay will also inform webinar participants on how the child tax credits can be used by the non-custodial parent and the value of head of household filing status. Mason and MacAulay will advise attorneys on how best to advise their clients on the implications of the new laws.
