Miles Mason Inducted as Fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation

Established in 1982, the Memphis Bar Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Memphis Bar Association. The mission of the Memphis Bar Foundation is to:
- Promote philanthropy among members of the Bar;
- Advocate and support public awareness of the legal system;
- Promote social justice and legal education; and
- Encourage and recognize professionalism among members of the Bar.
In 2011, the Memphis Bar Foundation (MBF) awarded grants of almost $50,000 to eight non-profit organizations. Organizations receiving grants were:
- CASA of Memphis & Shelby County Inc. for their volunteer recruitment and training program;
- Community Legal Center for their Immigrant Justice Program;
- Exchange Club Family Center for their Safe Exchange/Supervised Visitation Program;
- Mediation and Restitution/Reconciliation Services (M.A.R.R.S.) for their juvenile mediation program;
- Memphis Area Legal Services for the “It Just Takes One” Campaign to expand volunteer participation;
- Memphis Bar Association Diversity Committee for the Summer Law Intern Program;
- National Civil Rights Museum for the Brown v. Board of Education courtroom; and the
- Pam Cobb Endowed Paralegal Scholarship Fund at Southwest Tennessee Community College.
On October 11, 2012, the Memphis Bar Foundation hosted the induction of the elected Fellows for 2012 including Miles Mason, Sr. Inductees were elected by members must have been practicing law at least 10 years and be elected by members of the Bar Foundation recognized for ethical and professional practice.
