On March 19, 2019, Anne Hamer and Miles Mason, Sr. of Miles Mason Family Law Group, PLC will be presenting Continuing Professional Education (CPE for CPAs) on the topic of “Tennessee Divorce Law: What’s New? What’s Next?” for the Memphis Chapter of Tennessee Society of CPA’s at the Hilton in East Memphis.

The seminar is on March 19, 2019, at the Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd., Memphis, TN 38120. TSCPA meets in the ballroom, located downstairs. The presentation follows the normal March Chapter lunch, 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. If you are CPA, register through the TSCPA as usual. Non-CPAs may attend free of charge.
About Anne Hamer: Anne’s divorce practice focuses on high asset, high conflict cases. As a divorced mother of two, Anne’s goal is to help her clients develop a workable parenting plan where the children can learn to thrive in a new family structure. Anne draws from her extensive litigation experience, as well as her work as a trained mediator, to obtain the best results for her clients. Anne graduated from New York University School of Law in 1996. Prior to law school, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Anne is also a nationally recognized speaker. She currently practices law in Memphis and Nashville. She is a past chair of the Family Law Committee of the Memphis Bar Association, as well as an active member of the American Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, and the Association of Women Attorneys. Anne has successfully completed the prestigious ABA Family Law Trial Advocacy Course at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Anne spends her free time traveling with her two daughters, both of whom are adopted and of Hispanic heritage. She also enjoys playing tennis, and, in 2018, she was the second oldest woman to complete the StrongFirst Level One Kettlebell Instructor certification course.
About Miles Mason, Sr.: Miles Mason, Sr. JD, CPA is a husband, father, and divorce lawyer. He and his wife, Sharon are the parents of three adult children, an industrial designer, a U. S. Marine, and a budding singer/songwriter. He is also the founder of the Miles Mason Family Law Group, PLC, selected as a 2017-18 Tennessee Super Lawyer by peers, and rated 10.0 out of 10.0 by Avvo. Miles is a nationally recognized speaker on divorce trial practice, forensic accounting, and business valuation. He is the author of four books on divorce, including the Forensic Accounting Deskbook, published by the ABA Family Law Section, and the Tennessee Divorce Client’s Handbook. Leadership positions have included Chair of the TBA Family Law Section, President of the CBHS Alumni Association, and Fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation. Miles also currently serves as Vice Chair of the Community Redevelopment Agency of Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee appointed by Mayor Jim Strickland.
