The Tennessee Society of CPA’s Memphis Chapter presented “Forensic Accounting 101” on March 13, 2012. Presented by Memphis divorce and family law attorney Miles Mason, Sr., JD, CPA, the CPE seminar shared practical lessons on forensic accounting for those considering adding to their skill sets including methodology and techniques, law, reports, deposition strategies, direct and cross examination questioning, and standards. In a fast-paced group participation format, attendees learned strategies employed by experienced forensic accountants to investigate business owners who seek to hide assets and income from creditors and spouses.
